  1. Won't happen as long as we have first past the post voting. If a third party on the left gets 10-20%, it will guarantee just about every election for Republicans. The far more effective option is get out there, do the work, and take over the Democratic Party. In most places, party committee members are elected by the public, so run for committee seats, run for office, or find a candidate you can support, but that is more viable than hoping the Green Party will suddenly become relevant.
