@roslyndaniel2687 The OP didn't say "the saddest." It is a sad day watching people go for fear and think that the same thing that worked so well the last time will work this time.

@anthonymccarthy4164 I don't consider myself to be a socialist, but maybe, just maybe, those of us on the left get incredibly frustrated when our positions are the clear majority, but people vote based on fear instead of what can be. The party of FDR, HST, JFK and LBJ is not alive in today's establishment Democrats.

@anthonymccarthy4164 Funny how your version of left keeps going farther and farther in one direction. Truman wanted a program resembling the NHS, and the one who just wants single payer is getting red baited. And do you honestly think that LBJ would have won in 1968? He dropped out when he did for a reason. And you mention Nixon, but the last two Democrats have been well to the right of Nixon. In Michigan, 64% said that wanted Medicare for All even when it was worded in the most unfavorable way, and Biden said yesterday that he would veto it. Do you really think that will excite voters in November?
