@hepwo91222 People have to do medical quarantine for lots of situations. When Ebola broke out a few years ago, anyone who went to a country affected by it also had to quarantine here. You would have probably been complaining about Typhoid Mary losing her livelihood and ignored that she willfully killed a bunch of people.

@hepwo91222 Sorry, I don't have the tinfoil frequency that you do. You know, Cleopatra isn't the only Queen of da Nile.

@hepwo91222 And as far as the comorbidity argument goes, that would be like some gun nut saying "X number of people who got shot were fat, so they were going to die, anyway."

@kris3706 So true about its purpose. I've shot an M-16, which is very similar to an AR-15. I had to every year I was in so I could keep my certification. Anyone who has dealt with them knows that they are designed to kill, not for self-defense.

@hepwo91222 Is that the logic you use when someone makes the mistake of responding on the bus? There is no need to retort things so ridiculous, but I did anyway just to be on the safe side just in case anyone might come along and not know how ridiculously debunked the comorbidity argument is.

@hepwo91222 Several of the examples people point to when trying to make the comorbidity argument are obesity and diabetes. You can live a long time with those. I have borderline high cholesterol (low enough to the point where I don't even need to take medication, but still a little over 200). If I were to get coronavirus and die, would you say that it was the cholesterol that killed me?

@hepwo91222 A "flu" that killed more than a million in the United States, and 10,794 out of a population of 25.69 million, or roughly 1 in 2390 people. In the United States, that was 1.02MM out of a population of 329.5MM, or 1 in 323 people. But, yeah, totally harmless.

@DUDEBroHey Yeah, it's only still the fourth leading cause of death in America, but totally nothing.

@DUDEBroHey Ah, yes, the person who resorts to a wall of insults because there is nothing substantive to be said other than a tantrum about MUH FREE-DUMB. Fat people aren't killing other people because of their weight. Funny how the "freedom" crowd claims that people should be able to do things as long as it doesn't hurt other people, but they refuse to do things that make it harder to hurt other people, while going after things that people are only doing to themselves.
