Some people just want that moral superiority that they can only get by never voting for winners. I remember a guy from college whose self-image pretty much crumbled when he actually supported a winning candidate who proved not to be perfect. People like that are why we can't get anything nice.

BobbyG If she voted it down, the things that people like her and Bernie got, such as increased unemployment benefits, would have easily been scrubbed. And she would have been hammered for voting against unemployment. There wasn't enough good stuff in the next bill, so she voted No.

@redwardstone3651 She didn't spend all of her time playing purer than thou, which apparently makes some people feel better than actually getting things done.

@redwardstone3651 Either that, or they don't really want things to change and just want to complain. Apparently, they don't realize the implications of supporting a man known as the Amendment King. The people who got the unemployment benefits that Bernie pushed certainly proves the efficacy of this approach compared to just complaining.
