That's why it's up to anyone who fell for her grift to expose it. I fell for hers in 2016, and got suspicious when she tried to get a job with Trump and then went to Syria, but seeing the torture interview was the last straw. I thought Yang was putting a good idea out until I saw the fine print. That's why I fight these grifters so hard in the comment section.

@zacg_ Go back and read his Salon columns. He was never the lefty he made himself out to be. For me, the moment that opened my eyes was seeing the interview where she defended torture. When I heard her supporters defend it as a veteran, it was an insult to me and every other person who did the right thing when dealing with POWs.

@2727rogers Even her talk of "ending forever wars" masks that she was just fine with other kind of wars to the point where "regime change wars" basically became code for "wars I don't like." Most of her dove talk was really isolationism, which is not peace.

She's always been a con. Before she endorsed Bernie, she built her name going to Bill Maher and Fox to complain that Obama wasn't harsh enough in his language toward Muslims, she defended torture, and she compared the Iran nuclear deal to Iraq. Her political BFF has always been Modi. The real grift was endorsing Bernie to fend off a primary challenge to her left by supporting a popular candidate in her state. She's always been a right-wing nut job.

@darrinpowers5726 In addition to the list given above, they are also shutting polling places in predominantly minority precincts, which is why you see these stories about people waiting eight hours to vote. Oh, and Republicans want to make it a felony to give water to those people waiting in line.

She is a far left winger? I'm guessing that was a typo. Go back and watch her interview where she defends torture, or where she goes along with the idea that the Iran nuclear deal is like Munich. This is who she always was. This is the danger of listening to grifters like Jimmy Dore.

@donyoung7874 I don't know how well Salon has them archived, but the instant that the question switches from government accountability to corporate accountability, you will see it. If you Google Edward Snowden Glenn Greenwald criticism, you will see an article from 2014 from The Nee Republic that chronicles some of his worst takes. He also had this habit of defending violent Neo-Nazis pro bono based on First Amendment grounds.

Few things are sadder than selling your soul and finding no buyers, but if you go back and look at her history, this is who she is. She defended Biden on busing and criticized Booker and Harris for having issues with his opposition to it. The real grift was pretending to be a lefty by supporting Bernie in 2016.

@darrinpowers5726 You can't give gifts to persuade voters. That's not what this is. It is having compassion and decency for those stuck in line who may have even run out of water they are there for so long. And I want to see the evidence of the "record polling places." Where I lived, there were fewer, but there was early voting for the first time in our state's history after it was passed unanimously by the legislature. And I remember the Republicans complaining loudly about it being too easy for people to vote.

@bertthompson4748 Indeed. The people who are genuinely Marxists like to dump on Liberal as insufficient. A lot of people who do it remind me of the people who dumped the L word a generation ago and adopted Progressive, seemingly oblivious to the fact that for most of its history, it referred to moderate, good government movements, and that the DLC think tank called itself the Center for American Progress. Also, I've heard Hillary call herself Progressive many times, but I have never once heard her describe herself as a Liberal.
