  1. As a union worker, every time we have a contract negotiation, the vast majority of the time on the negotiating is spent on the health insurance package. Even if you don't count the provision in the Medicare for All bill that required employers to pass savings along to the workers, if they spent less time negotiating health insurance, that frees them up to spend more time negotiating things like increasing wages to go to a 30-hour work week, restoring pensions, etc.
