  1. Who said the majority is going anywhere? The House majority is in danger, but the Senate majority is much healthier at this point given the candidates fielded. When Evil Turtle has to spend $30MM to prop up a candidate in a state where Der Orangefuhrer won by eight, that should tell you everything.

  2. Do you seriously think that McConnell wouldn't have just done it anyway in 2017 with the Supreme Court? Imagine how many more vacancies there would have been in 2017 if Harry Reid didn't get to fill vacancies in 2013-14.

  3. Because the Senate is 50/50 and you have two Democrats who refuse to do anything to make legislation any easier, so you have to pick your battles.
