@zetectic7968 You are aware that US Senate seats are elected statewide and gerrymandering plays no role, right? I swear, the lazy takes! If people don't know what gerrymandering is (favorable drawing of legislative districts), maybe they should learn.

@zetectic7968 Oh, since you have a defender below who insists that I was being unfair in my earlier response to you not understanding that gerrymandering has nothing to do with a statewide election, I thought I'd go back and see if I really was, I thought I'd look at your reply again, and I was wrong. It showed two bits if ignorance rather than one. In my rush to point out that gerrymandering has nothing to do with the US Senate, I missed your statement that incumbents don't lose. How could I have missed the obvious response that Ron Johnson won the seat by defeating an incumbent, so once again, the voters are not off the hook for giving that moron a third term. Apparently, you think that people are automatons who don't have agency and just vote for incumbents, when incumbents can and do lose.

@MZBS639 Then, recruit better people instead of forcing us to arbitrarily get rid of good ones. In states that have legislative term limits, the power shifts to lobbyists and unelected staffers. Is that what you really want?

Whose fault is it that Ron Johnson is still in the Senate? If the voters would have gotten rid of him, he'd be gone. When I see people say they support term limits, it seems like the unsaid part is "I don't like who other people elect."

@zetectic7968 What do all those other elected officials have to do with either the OP or my response? Both were specifically about Ron Johnson and why he is still in the US Senate. Never underestimate the inability of some people to admit they made a mistake. Everybody does it, and you give your arguments much greater credibility when it isn't tied to the defense if your own ego.

@awake3607 Assuming that you are not the person making the original reply, let's look through the thread of conversation, shall we? OP: Ron Johnson ran for a third term, so we should have term limits. My reply: It's not the term limits, because voters in Wisconsin elected Ron Johnson to a third term. Reply to me: It's unfair to blame voters in Wisconsin for Ron Johnson, because the state is the most gerrymandered in America. My reply: Gerrymandering has nothing to do with the US Senate. Reply to me: But Wisconsin is very gerrymandered. And, yes, voters in Wisconsin currently have one Democrat and one Republican in the US Senate. They also re-elected Tony Evers as governor at the same time they re-elected Ron Johnson. None of that changes the fact that if more voters had voted for Mandela Barnes, Ron Johnson would be out or the Senate, and gerrymandering doesn't let them off the hook, because the entire state voted for US Senate. The context clue comes from the reply saying that it is unfair to blame voters for Ron Johnson because the state is so gerrymandered. Since you are so determined to try to save yourself or the person who replied to me (many times on this channel, people have used multiple usernames to agree with themselves, so I can't rule it out), tell me exactly how being the most gerrymandered state in America when it comes to legislative districts absolves people in a statewide election who voted for an awful Senator.
