@MrMasterDebate I can usually get a same day appointment. That said, I remember in 2002 as an undergrad when someone gave the "in Canada, you have to wait months to see your doctor." A friend of his, who was from Canada, pointed out that this simply isn't true. The unstated part of "but waiting lists" is that you are saying, "I am fine with a significant proportion of the population not getting to see a doctor at all so I can see mine a little faster."

@jdirty3460 What is the middle ground between "government should exist and serves an important purpose" and "government should do the absolute minimum"? Where should each one concede?
