If Nietzsche is constantly getting misinterpreted, maybe the problem is with Nietzsche and his writing.

@julymagnus493 That's my point. I get talking in riddles, and while my undergrad interpretation of him as a might makes right figure may have been wrong, it seems like looking at him now that he just may be the most celebrated troll of all time. I certainly don't see the massive brilliance that I keep hearing is supposed to be there. Maybe that's just me, though.

@julymagnus493 It's been a while, but the one that I remember is Twilight of the Idols, which I thought was horrible.

@matthewcappetta3752 What did the original look like? From what I've heard, it's not like it was difficult for people to get a might makes right interpretation in the whole time it was written, and when I got to grad school, unless those were the still corrupted versions I read (which then leads to the question of why the distorted version is even taught at all), they still seemed to go in that direction.

@communitywoodworking9370 I'll have to add that to the queue. I did also read "Also Sprach Zarathustra," but maybe it was too close to reading Twilight of the Idols and clouded my judgment (these were assigned readings senior year of undergrad). Thanks for the heads up.
