@andrewforte2018 Glenn Greenwald is a libertarian. His grift was pretending to be a lefty, and now he is back to his true self (see also: Gabbard, Tulsi). Greenwald is awful. I did everything I could to help Bernie win, but if all it took was a few endorsements, it was a foundation of sand.

If you've had people talking about what a genius and person of character you are for years, even when the things that you did that were right tended to be right for the wrong reasons, you have difficulty thinking ahead about possible criticism.

@Alltime2050 Darn right! The right beats us because too many of our voters are lazy. They vote pretty much every time.

They spend their time getting people riled up over social issues, while when they get in office, they spend most of their time focusing on ways to get the rich richer. (For example, the majority of Reagan-Bush Justices voted to uphold Roe.) Now, they've stopped a lot things, but in our system, it is far easier to stop things than it is to actively do things.

@anderseckstrand7033 Polling data so says a lot of things that just aren't true. When it comes to things like civic engagement, people like to talk a big game, but actual data shows otherwise. Voters on the left insist on being wooed, but voters on the right show up every single time. That's why they win when the majority disagree with their policies. And the reason why the Democratic Party shifted right in the 1990s is because it got killed in the 80s. Republicans keep shifting right because their voters keep rewarding it.
