@randomlobster5566 Bernie was not a candidate in the general election. There was literally zero chance that someone other than Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump would have been elected at that point. Vote with your heart in the primary and your head in the general election.

Since you are so far-sighted and thinking about the long run, maybe you haven't noticed that a majority of Supreme Court Justices were appointed by people who lost the popular vote who snuck in through the Electoral College because people like you think that they are too good to allow their pure sensibilities to be polluted by actually using your head. This is being a useful idiot in action. Oh, yeah, you're showing them! Gore was followed by Kerry, and Hillary was followed by Biden. It's no coincidence that Bernie went from 44% of the vote with a disappointing Democratic President to 32% with a literal fascist in the White House.
