@jop23ify My uncle was born in 1947. He got polio and couldn't walk until he was five. You know why you don't hear stories like that anymore? Vaccine mandates. And don't give me this "that's a good vaccine" nonsense, either. The efficacy of the vaccine for the original strain was 90%, for delta it was is 70%, and for omicron it is 40-50%. The efficacy of the polio vaccine is 61%. The original strain of coronavirus is gone. If the anti-vaccine dummies would have gotten their vaccines, this would all be over and done with, because viruses mutate, and they gave it a chance to do so. Finally, the mandate was never a vaccine mandate in the first place, it was a testing mandate, and you were exempt from getting tested if you had the vaccine.

@jop23ify I don't care what you study. If you spout lies and nonsense, you don't know what you're talking about or you are willfully endangering others. And how does the vaccine reduce your chances of spreading it to others. Well, if you get the vaccine, you are less likely to get coronavirus. If you are less likely to get coronavirus, you are less likely to spread it to other people. They didn't teach you that in your expert training?

@jop23ify And my uncle getting polio doesn't make me an effort. I was pointing out the difference in eras because there is a vaccine that pretty much everyone takes. I could also point out that my daughter doesn't have to take the smallpox vaccine because it was eradicated, and no civilian has for decades. (I didn't have to take it until I was 23 because some brass thought that Saddam Hussein really did have biological weapons.)

I have borderline high cholesterol (last annual bloodwork was 214). It's not even high enough for the doctor to recommend me for medication. If I were to die of coronavirus, would they say "he had a comorbidity"?
