The problem with some of the satire in terms of people getting it is that it has to be over the top and believable at the same time. I saw an earlier sketch that just sounded like a straight up right winger. Then again, even Stephen Colbert, who was a pretty obvious parody of Bill O'Reilly, had a lot of conservatives who were genuinely surprised by his performance at the 2006 White House Correspondents Dinner because they thought he was really his character.

@manholeeunuchsbane6197 I don't know. It seems like the right has gone so far over the edge that it's pretty hard to tell the difference between parody and actual Republican talking points.
