@selfishcapitalist3523 Mining companies used to refuse to pay in cash before workers won the right to organize. It wasn't because the benevolent company took care of them. Go watch Harlan County USA or Matewan to see what things were like when capital had their say.

I think that Workplace Democracy is probably a good place to start. I am honestly not sure where the line is between social democracy and market socialism, but I am somewhere in that realm. The would-be revolutionaries are a turn off to me, because if you support democracy, you should try to win over the people through democratic means. The people who get mad about the idea of market socialism as "not really socialism" are enough to make a lot of people say, "Fine. I guess I'm not a socialist, full stop." Look at the comments on the Jacobin video about a 21st century practical socialism, and I was liking the guest's points, but the people saying that it isn't the real thing makes me wonder if I really should want to be on the other side of social democracy.
