  1.  @pinkypony2598  There is no such thing as a closed shop. Taft-Hartley prohibits that. If you want to tell stories, at least tell true ones.

  2.  @pinkypony2598  Well, if the union was so evil, you should have filed a Taft-Hartley complaint. Otherwise, you are probably confusing the fair use fee with mandatory union membership.

  3.  @pinkypony2598  And a fair use fee exists because the law requires unions to represent anyone the contract covers, and getting rid of that rule causes a free rider problem, because why should anyone join if they get all of the advantages for free?
