If they are both the same, why can't she make up her mind about whether or not she supports Medicare for All? One day, she's "for Bernie's plan," and the next, "there are a lot of good plans, and I want access." She is a smart woman, so she knows that is code the right uses to justify not providing actual health care.

@Junebug89 I think his idea is right. He himself had an eight-hour filibuster that was the first talking filibuster in 20 years to fight extending the Bush tax cuts for two years. The Civil Rights Act was filibustered, but it ultimately passed. A talking filibuster will both restore majority rule and keep the right of the minority to try to raise objections to get their point heard. Force it to be talking, and change the rules from "all Senators" to "all Senators voting" in order to invoke cloture, and you will solve the problem.

Unlike Warren, Bernie actually has a plan for that: political mobilization, and a group like Our Revolution that is working to bring others along.

@Cool_Calm_Cam I am skeptical of Kyle Kulinski as well, but if he has an accurate imitation of this guy, that seems to me to be acceptable without following him wholesale.

@Baci302 Legislative agenda is not the same as rules that are the prerogative of each House and the President has no veto pen as leverage.

I live in an area that likes Warren's brand of left. I have seen two bumper stickers for her. I have seen one Biden yard sign. I see an awful lot for Bernie.

@katrosajin7744 The maximum TANF payment in CA is over $700/month. Throw in SNAP, and any single parent is already over $1000, so he/she is not only not getting any more money from Yang's proposal, but now that person has to pay that regressive tax. So, his program will hurt the poor and disabled. That is not my definition of "progressive" at all.

@definitiveentertainment1658 I think of it this way: you don't get a dollar by asking for a quarter. Obama tried to get the public option, which was already a compromise, and we ended up with the Republican alternative to Hillarycare that Bill said didn't go far enough. If Bernie tries and fails for Medicare for All and has to settle for a public option, I can live with that, but if we start with a public option, we're doomed from the start. I think there is also the Overton Window effect. In 1981, Reagan was considered radical for dropping the top marginal tax rate to 50%. Now, asking for a top rate of 50% is seen as radical on the left. Even if Bernie doesn't get all of what he wants, he'll get some, and that's good enough for me, because instead of the last three Democratic Presidents each having a legitimate claim to the title Most Conservative Democratic President Since Grocer Cleveland. Bernie will stop that streak, and maybe be Most Lefty President Since Franklin Roosevelt, or maybe he won't even need the qualifier.
