@thomas2082 And March for Medicare for All was a one-time event that was so poorly organized and attended that it was a total joke. Oh, and he let white nationalists use the event, and several of the lefty organizations that were listed as sponsors had nothing to do with it.

@squatch545 Forcing the Vote didn't bring those things about. In this context, forcing the vote is a message vote when you know that you don't have nearly enough to pass as though that will somehow get the thing that you want. Again, you still haven't given an example.

@dalekrenegade2596 Indeed. Can't forget that. It was a mess. I literally first heard about it about four or five hours before it was supposed to happen from a Dore Knob complaining that AOC didn't go to the one in New York, because she'd actually rather get another cosponsor. And I'm on the e-mail list of two of the groups that were supposed to be sponsors of the one nearby. I found out later that the impromptu rally to oppose the Ashamed Boys after they were supposed to come to a park in West Philadelphia got far more supporters and press.

@thomas2082 Like it or not, once the primaries are over, there are only two candidates who have a nonzero chance of getting elected President. If you pretend that both are the same, then you help the one farther away from your stated position. Then again, Jimmy Dore doesn't want to do anything. He wants to cultivate anger. That's why he pushes nonsense like FTV and MPP.

Well, with your logic, you are defending Jimmy Dore, who endorsed someone who called Medicare for All un-American to Anderson Cooper. Twice. Someone who defended torture, compared the Iran nuclear deal to Munich, praised Sisi for killing protesters in Egypt, praised Modi repeatedly, made it harder for Syrian refugees to enter the United States, praised Putin for bombing civilians in Syria while complaining that Obama didn't, tried to get a job as Trump's secretary of state, and praised Trump for leaving the Kurds to the slaughter. If I go down, you're going down with me.

@thomas2082 I didn't get any videos. And you like Jimmy Dore, who defended Tulsi Gabbard, so my point was that by your logic, you are just as bound as everyone else. News flash: there is no such thing as a perfect candidate anywhere, but if you live in a swing state, you're guaranteeing the worst while you wait. I could also point out that Jimmy Dore said that Trump was better than Hillary, and how in 2016 he compared McConnell eliminating the filibuster for the Supreme Court and Trump getting three Justices to the moon falling into Lake Michigan. One of those three didn't come true. Jimmy thought none would.

Alabama Man 2.0 Oh, Jimmy knows. First of all, that happened when he interviewed someone who got out of the white nationalist movement. Second of all, Jimmy Dore and Sam Seder had a debate in 2016 where literally everything Jimmy predicted turned out to be wrong, and every prediction Sam made turned out to be right (including the number of Supreme Court picks that Trump got). Jimmy was supposed to allow a return engagement on his show, and he refused.

Voting rights is something where 50 Democrats claim to support it in the Senate, but two won't vote for procedural votes to make it possible, and this puts the pressure on Republicans to try to defend their opposition to voting rights. Medicare for All wasn't even close to passage (and the guy talking about forcing the vote endorsed the candidate who called Medicare for All "un-American" and considered it a "genius strategy to win"), and would have exposed weakness. There was literally no way that Pelosi wouldn't have ultimately become Speaker, so what was supposed to be gained?

@brentshowers741 You know why Medicare for All didn't have support? During the 2020 primary, Biden said he wouldn't sign it, and his numbers didn't move. When people get elected not supporting something, they won't suddenly change their mind. The problem is that most people who advocate FTV only look at the top line poll, but don't look at the follow ups which show that a lot of people think "Medicare for All" just means "universal coverage." Thank people like Yang and Tulsi for that misinformation, the latter who called it un-American twice to Anderson Cooper. And who did Jimmy Dore endorse again? So, what have you done to actually move the needle on Medicare for All since you think everyone should and symbolic votes guaranteed to fail is the only tactic you seem to think is available?
