@jeffreysanders7334 Are you playing dumb at this point? Everyone should be involved in politics as their duty as citizens. Claiming that you know how children will be affected by something when you have neither training nor practical experience is completely different. This is not a difficult concept to grasp. Does some random person with no background whatsoever deserve the same audience as someone trained in child development for how children develop? There is a finite time we have, and people specialize in things for a reason.

@jeffreysanders7334 A comment that a high school dropout (which means someone who hasn't studied physics) has upended the most important discovery in physics since Newton is "bigotry"? You can't practice medicine without a license in this country. Is that also bigotry?

@jeffreysanders7334 You're really hiding behind racism to defend your contention that it is unfair to be skeptical when hearing that someone who has never studied something has completely upended the field? Is that really the hill you want to die on?

@jeffreysanders7334 Charlie Kirk is not a child psychologist or psychiatrist. Anybody can say anything that they want, but if there is no basis whatsoever for the claims of expertise, pointing out that there is no basis in reality for his advice is perfectly fair. If some random person came in from a desert island making a proposal about child care, should we give that person due respect, or should we ask that person what those theories are based on in either study or practice. I wouldn't go to some random person at a church and ask what something says in Biblical Hebrew, I would ask someone who has studied the language.

We are talking about the question that I would hope anyone asks: why does this person claim to have knowledge on the field that he/she is speaking on? Does this person have training or practical knowledge? Otherwise, you're elevating speculation to the level of research, and isn't that the worse form of bigotry?

@jeffreysanders7334 It's a dummy account set up for no other reason to troll. (Give it a month and there will be a similar username lurking in the comments.) You're acting like someone who just learned a Latin phrase and wants to keep invoking it. Troll Man started off from a bad faith place, and you're defending him because he's backing up your argument. I get that it must be frustrating that no one else is agreeing with your argument, but those of us who aren't are looking at the merits of the argument.
