  2.  @homeostasisrestored4385  Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote an interesting book about that subject. You should check out "The Cost of Discipleship" someday. It is an amazing read from someone who took the red letters seriously.

  5.  @Psalm34rws  First of all, He crossed the border at the age of two, so it's not like He had much of a say in it. Second, you can't make the refugee argument when a lot of the people who come to the border who are being detained are seeking refugee status, especially when the United States is trying to make it harder to get that status, because US and international law both clearly state that someone seeking asylum has to leave the country where his/her life is in danger, and there is no requirement for doing so at a port of call. Neither argument holds water.
