Like it or not, those people will eventually invest in the American dream just as my great great grandparents did when they arrived here and became farmers, bankers, doctors, mayors. This brinkmanship needs to stop. America has always thrived on immigrants. It is the one thing that makes us utterly different from the rest of the world. We have vast areas waiting for new people to populate and thrive upon. To hold us hostage and deny funding to wars that could destroy whole parts of the world when we're the most fabulously rich country in the planet's history! It's despicable.
