  3. I wonder how China is going to surpass the military power of the US without fighting any foreign wars? Another thing to wonder is buying India Today in my teens for ten rupees. Quite shocked to learn it is seventy five rupees a copy nowadays. I am not that old and that was not very long ago..

  5.  @justinjoseph129  Sponsoring low intensity conflicts and having standoffs with neighboring countries is no substitute for overseas expeditionary warfare even in this age of nuclear weapons and mutual assured destruction. That is why despite spending so much money China is not yet a global military superpower while a clearly declining US still is.

  11.  @dukhi_aatma372  The US is declining since the year 2000 onwards. Misadventures in Iraq and Afghanistan, indiscriminate outsourcing, and unbridled immigration are the chief causes. The US indeed attracted some of the brightest minds in the world between 1920 to 1999 and what you see today is the work of those people that is keeping the US going.
