  3.  @DADDYG-Ryder  In UP intercaste marriage is very common. I am from UP and in my family there are many intercaste marriages. Yes there is resistance initially when someone wants to get married in different community but once marriage happens there is no problem. Nobody is killing people in UP for marrying in different community.

  7.  @SeekerSeeker  I have seen Protestant Christians opposing marriage with Catholic Christians, Sunni Muslims opposing marriage with Shia Muslims. When it comes to marriage, marrying in different community does create resistance not only in India but also everywhere in the world. Killing someone for marrying outside one’s community is an extreme reaction.

I personally know Sunni Muslims who forced their daughter not to marry Shia Muslim. Resistance to marriage in different community happens in all religions and all countries.
