  1. When partition of India was done on religious grounds then why should Hindus alone shoulder the responsibility for building a religiously neutral country? Did Indira Gandhi conduct any referendum when she inserted the words 'Socialist' and 'Secular' in the preamble of India during the emergency? For that matter, was there any national referendum conducted before adoption of Constitution of India in 1950?
