  1. The problem is that Indian nationalism is based upon hatred of the British and hatred of the Mughals. We are taught to hate British and Mughals in our schools and nowadays there are people who think that we don't hate them enough. When Indian nationalism is based on hatred of those who ruled India in the past then hatred of our ancestors who served those rulers is natural. This idea of Indian nationalism is actually anti-Hindu because honouring our ancestors especially during Pitra Paksha is one of the basic values taught by Hinduism.
