UP is not Gujarat. UP has a thriving animal trade that is being destroyed with this obsession with Ahimsa, vegetarianism and cow worship. Hindu religion has been hijacked by fanatic vegetarians and cow worshippers. Most unfortunate.

Government is elected by human beings so the first duty of government should be towards humans not animals. Those who want to do animal welfare should spend their own money or form NGO. Government should not spend taxpayers' money on such things.

This cow worship has gone too far. If there was any credible alternative to Yogi he would have been voted out. But he is lucky that there is no credible alternative yet to him in UP.

@mohdshariq5814 9 have been inaugurated on 25th October 2021 alone. Yogi is not like Lalu, Mayawati or Mulayam
5
@Sunil5291 Good joke but unfortunately I don't agree with beef ban and cow politics and I also don't think these are essential beliefs for all Hindus.
5
Why should there be animals on the streets at all? Animals should not be roaming on the streets.
5
@mohdshariq5814 Google you will find the news of inauguration
4
@mohdshariq5814 Maybe if you search after removing your religion filter you will find
4
Educated people with PhDs in PETA and PFA supporting this. Education has nothing to do with common sense nowadays.
4
@Sunil5291 Yogi has opened many new medical colleges and hospitals but still that does not mean government money should be spent on cow ambulance. As you said earlier this means Yogi can be replaced with a cow.

@ayush885 Let leopards also roam the streets then. Why do you call wildlife department when they enter cities to eat strat dogs and cats?
3
@ayush885 In India dog catchers don't come when dog gets aggressive. They say police will lock us up for violating animal rights.
3
@ayush885 A visiting scientist from South Korea told me they either shoot or eat any dog roaming in the streets.
3
@ayush885 In India you will find dogs, cows, bulls and monkeys everywhere from large public spaces to military bases. Dogs, cows, bulls and monkeys have access to all places in India. I have seen them gate-crashing military parades also without any fear.
3
@ayush885 A South Korean exchange student in an IIT once expressed an opinion that Indians seem to like to do everything on roads starting from relieving themselves to keeping animals. It was highly offensive and racist comment but also the bitter brutal truth. The Japanese also hold the same opinion I am told but they are more polite so don't express it.

@ayush885 I live in Lucknow. Here if you complain to municipality they say this is one thing which we can't do ask something else.
3
@ayush885 My neighbor got attacked by a cow during evening walk last year and spent 15 days in hospital with broken skull and ribs.
3
@ayush885 Whole of UP has stray cows, bulls, monkeys, dogs etc problem.
3
@ayush885 What is your advice for farmers losing crops due to stray cows, bulls and monkeys?
3
@ayush885 I love my state.
3
@ayush885 I don't think it is Ulta Pradesh. It has been defamed.
3
@ayush885 Uttar Pradesh is the only state in India which does not discriminate against people on the basis of ethnicity and language.
3
@ayush885 How many stray dogs are roaming the streets of London now?
3
Does Yogi government have any plan to compensate people who have been injured or killed by stray cows and dogs in Uttar Pradesh? Does Yogi government have any plan to compensate farmers whose fields have been destroyed by stray cows and bulls?
3
He has eliminated lot of mafia through encounters. That is one positive thing.
3
@ayush885 Thousands of people have been seriously injured and killed by stray animals in UP in last 5 years. In Sitapur district the large packs of stray dogs had started killing and eating small school going children and administration did nothing because Maneka Gandhi and her disciple Gauri Maulekhi sent letter to DGP to do everything to protect dogs from humans. Ultimately the humans had to take steps to defend themselves.
3
No you are wrong. This is to gather support from Jains, Vaishnavas and Arya Samajis that form a large percentage of voters in Uttar Pradesh as well as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab. For these voters vegetarianism and beef ban are more important than other issues and they vote in bulk so attractive for any politician who wants votes on basis of religion not caste.
2
@jayantjolly Cops have always done that but now they are shooting the bad guys instead of the good guys for a change and for many in UP that is a plus. UP has also been a major source of manpower for the Mumbai mafia for a long time.
2
My reaction is same because both dogs and cows are a menace on the streets of cities and villages of Uttar Pradesh.
2
@Sunil5291 It is not
2
@mizisawesome8442 You want whole country to be controlled by PETA?
2
@mizisawesome8442 The people who gave this idea to Yogi also lead PETA, PFA and other asserted vegetarian, vegan and animal rights groups in India. Don't give them new ideas please not that they have not already thought of this before.
2
@avibcci1297 Am I not clear?
2
@avibcci1297 Yes I am against it. Why are you asking again and again?

Joe Xavier For me India is a Hindu nation that was created after Pakistan was created as a Muslim nation by cutting off the parts of Bharat Mata. My opposition to beef ban and forced vegetarianism is based on my idea of Hinduism not Western Secularism.
1
Joe Xavier Under French Secularism, the State protects Catholic Christianity as the sole religious tradition of France and does not allow any other religion to establish a religious organization that rivals the Catholic Church in size and financial heft. I will not mind India as a Hindu version of France.
