@Browndwarff Everyone sits in parliament and faces criticism on their face. It is nothing special.

@Browndwarff During the time of Nehru corruption was looked down in society as treason to the King. The social values were very different in those days. People felt shame in asking bribes. It was a very different world than today. People lived by strict codes of conduct in those days and were ready to die for their values that is unthinkable now.

@priyanshupandey2670 Do you think Adi Shankaracharya could achieve what he did in today's India? Why don't we have such great philosophers anymore in India?

Till the time people in India continue to worship Nehru it will never regain it's old glory as the world's greatest nation.

@Browndwarff Nehru set the trend of demolition of feudal value system of India which made honesty, integrity and loyalty as the most cherished values in a human being. The Indian society has not recovered from that assault on it's values till now.

@Browndwarff Normalization and acceptance of corruption as a way of life in Indian society is the legacy of Nehru and democracy. People have not interacted with elders of pre 1947 generation who were conscious enough to experience partition of India. The old feudal values of India made much better human beings than today's Nehruvian system. The best generation of Indians are not born since 1947 onwards.

People of India forgave Nehru for partition and treated him like and Emperor. But unlike traditional Indian Kings, Nehru never delivered on any of his promises. For the first time in thousands of years, Indian society saw a King who broke the social contract. Those were the times in India when Kings never lied to their subjects. Till Nehru came along and Indian society had to change it's thousands of years old value systems overnight.
