@FoxNewsFanatic4Life Hellenism was already in place (that's why Greek was the lingua franca there), the people there at this time knew about the Greek rules on homosexuality (as long as you keep it somewhat to yourself and you still fulfil your role as a husband it's OK), so he certainly could have made a comment on this.

@BjoernarEricSven The seed was lost, and god was angry. Now we need a clarification what exactly made god angry. Can someone please ask next time one of his messengers comes by?

Narcissism makes you homosexual, unless you are transgendered, then you're bisexual. ;-)

@JustHere1444 Grinding?
1
@teuast It didn't solve these problems because "people wouldn't believe in it enough", for the same reason communism and any other utopian ideology failed. ;-)

@Kooshkff I know, but Christian fundamentalists don't make this distinction, they are the ones claiming the US is founded on Christianity. I was talking about the religious persecution complex on the example of evangelical Christian fundamentalists in the US.
1
@Kooshkff Huh? What makes you think I _don't_ have a problem with gay lifestyle? :P (TBH, I couldn't care less about other people's lives as long as it doesn't directly affect me) On a more general note, maybe TYT should indeed leave the statements of certain people (be they religious or not) stand for themselves and the viewers can do the more-or-less subjective generalising. But I see nothing wrong with presenting what this particular Christian pastor thinks.

@Murakumon90 Oh Steve it is.

@jwdesign336 Cry more! Besides, would it have been OK, if they didn't mentioned that he was Christians and Oh wouldn't have made his sorta generalising comment?
1
@Xerxes4242 Certainly if kids do it. ;-)

@ChristianMission IMHO, to come to such an absurd conclusion you have to be obsessed with homosexuality, how is it an homoerotic act if you might either concentrate on the feeling or simply let your fantasy play (where you would then see what you prefer, but I guess even the most narcissistic people wouldn't see themselves in their sexual fantasies or wet dreams).
1
@Kooshkff I meant a persecution against religious people in general, you know what Christian evangelicals in the US like to portray: a war between secularism/atheism against the churches (esp. the Christian evangelical ones) with false stories like that of students being forbidden to take their bibles to school or have a cross around their neck, or to say "Merry Christmas", yadda yadda… You seem to be talking about Muslim persecution, which is a little bit different for obvious reasons (Fox).

@UnderstandingAll Authorities and current culture define what "natural" is, but objectively speaking there is nothing "unnatural" simply because everything is part of nature (the physical world).
1
@Kooshkff You meant to say women weren't in the kitchen, because men were in war?
1
@mblasko You were the not offering any argument why it was comical to hear non-theists talk about ethics.
1
@mblasko > "Very comical to hear atheists talk about issues of sexual ethics." So atheists are not supposed to talk about "ethics", because they have none, right? :-> Oh you religious folks… You are Catholic, shouldn't be better than those protestant extremists? At least in my country Catholics always try to distance and position themselves as intellectually higher than the "loonies" over in Amurrika who exhibit such logic as your apparently just did.
1
@Kooshkff Religious people certainly shouldn't be bashed any less for their "interesting logic" than anyone else. It seems to me like you have a certain religious people persecution complex, but e.g. if you don't agree with this guy in this case you don't need to feel referred to.
