If you don't wear a hat and more then you are going to get a lot of electromagnetic radiation outside, it might give you a tan.

Judicial78 We can calculate how much energy would be needed to e.g. destroy certain molecular bonds. And in this case there simply isn't enough.

Not to forget radios.

Double-blind or with confirmation bias?

IcyPinguin > and very much possible been done Nu-huh, people are quite about crap studies because they are crap.

MrChrisHam RN Does visible light affect you much?

Judicial78 Common knowledge in chemistry etc., see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bond_energy BTW, this explains also why seeing the way we do (chemically using rhodopsin etc.) isn't possible with infrared, much less microwave radiation below that, see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:EM_spectrum.svg

Judicial78 > How can you so definitively say that humans understand how these forces act on a molecule as complex as cellular membrane proteins? Concerning molecular bonds we understand it pretty well because we know how the bonds work down to the quantum level. You could make an argument for other type of bonds (I was waiting for you to make it, but I guess you are not educated enough in that field) but then you also have keep in mind that the body is able to sustain quite a bit and if you think of the cell as a house then a wisp of wind (microwave radiation from cell phones) shouldn't affect it when it also withstands gusts (radiation in the visible spectrum as well as infrared and UV from the sun).

Judicial78 > http://www.prisonplanet.com LOL, a source next to natural news… I don't feel going into detail much more (I might repeat myself), but how comes you are concerned with cell phones and not with radio broadcast and (weather) radars? Those things are sent out with much more energy.

Actually there is less human-made microwave radiation now than some time ago, since there are less radio stations sending long-distance.

MrChrisHam RN > so no natural news is not bullshit You buy into their anti-vaccination and homeopathy stance?

Do they communicate through this or do you mean the electromagnetic radiation that every electric (and even non-electric, e.g. brakes in cars) machinery emits?

younguy1979 A YouTube video you say! :O Then it must be true!!! :-> > just because you don't see signals coming to your cellphone, doesn't mean it's all harmless. Just because visible light is visible electromagnetic radiation (of higher power than cell phones BTW) does not mean that it's harmless either. But we aren't talking about the part of the spectrum (in relation to the visible light one) where UV radiation is (which is ionizing) but about the other one, that's where "cell phone radiation" is located, next to infrared.
