Are you OK paying for a bunch of fat, lazy and sick fuckers that don't care about their health because someone else is picking up the tab? Because that's what happens. Thanks, but I'll continue to pay for my own health care, and not downgrade to a public rationed system, where I'm being taxes for other people's stupidity.

@RussCR5187 I'm for getting government out of health care altogether. I'm for getting government out of any private industry, and letting the omnipotent hand off the free market reign. Government can make sure my cars don't explode and my food doesn't poison me. Other than that, leave my commerce alone.

@yoshimansxl you're right, but only to the extent that there is no free market in the health care sector. During the Nixon administer government got their foot in that door, and now they basically run the show. Government needs to get out of business across all sectors and let the free market resume. I expect government to make sure my cars don't blow up and my food doesn't poison me. Other than that, they are entirely superfluous in the world of business.

@yoshimansxl you keep making my point. Government and corporate interests and money should not ever be comingled. Any time you allow private sector money into government, or vice versa, you set the stage to cripple the free market. You end up with the corporations that have the most capital influencing the state to do things their way; essentially running the government. People like to call that "crony capitalism", but in reality it's not even in the same time zone as capitalism. It's corporate fascism. Out of curiosity, what sectors wouldn't function under free market principles? Government has literally two jobs. Secure the sovereignty of the nation and protect the rights of its citizens. Beyond that, not only have they overstepped their authority, but they are wholly unsuited for anything else. The state's area of uniqueness is that they hold a monopoly on violence. What market area calls for that distinction?

Want to know why one of America's top exports is pharmaceuticals? It's because the industry isn't nationalized. When you nationalize an industry you strip away the incentive for innovation. Strip away that incentive and no new products will be forthcoming. Now bring the ignorant hate. 😁

@Devyn89 really? Three quarters of a century of communist and socialist nationalization of private industries and the economic stagnation it caused in many countries is pretty solid evidence.
