  9. Kazakhstan and Belarus gave up their nukes but never got invaded or attacked by Russia, because they remained neutral and made no attempts to join NATO. They obeyed the Budapest Memorandum to the letter, so Russia kept its promise. Ukraine on the other hand got what it was looking for by siding with their joint (USSR) cold war adversary.

  10.  @Optikification  the US cannot intercept several cadres of Russian weapons being held in reserve like the hypersonic cruise missiles and underwater Poseidons. US CGCS Milly knows this, and that's why NATO could not enforce a no fly zone over UA when they asked. If it became an all out nuclear exchange every country in Europe AND the US would be devastated. Nobody is safe enough to push Russia that far.
