  27.  @pietjepuk9408  the Monroe doctrine is timeless and ageless. In 1962 the US almost went to war to prevent Cuba from installing Soviet military equipment that could threaten the US. Today, if Mexico reveals plans for creating a Chinese military base with the potential to host missile threats from outside the eyes of NORAD, the US will invade Mexico to stop it tomorrow. Its the same with Russia. They will simply not stand by and see Ukraine turn into a military threat on their border- the Budapest Memorandum simply makes no sense to uphold any longer (though it remains in effect for Belarus and Kazakhstan). Only a hypocrite will not be able to understand this simple fact.
