@xinyiquan666 Who needs overpriced train fares when we can travel by air with cheaper prices and time saved?

We are so lucky my country doesn't need the white elephant, we prefer travelling by air. ๐๐๐

@xinyiquan666 Cheaper than air? Unless you lose $20 million per day like the HSR in chyna

@pingtao8437 lol, the hsr station isn't at city center, it also takes 1 hr to reach the station and another hour to board the train.

@ignatiusryd2031 Lol, you can develop around the station but the fact it's not close to the existing city center aka CBD.

Where I live, it takes 15 minutes from CBD to reach the airport by motorway or 20 minutes by suburban trains. It takes 1.5 hours to reach cites that are 1000km away by planes. If we build HSR the hub will be 50 km from CBD, it takes at least 45 minutes to reach the HSR hub by motorway. Plus another four hours high speed train to reach a city 1000km away. Also the train fares will be double of the flight tickets.

@ignatiusryd2031 I live in Sydney, Australia. We have been talking about building the HSR connecting Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne for the past 30 years, and every report still shows it isn't viable. The Hsr can't compete with planes. Every report I mentioned in my last post tells the whole story. There are 300 domestic departure flights from Sydney airport each day, and the route between Sydney and Melbourne is the third busiest air route in the world. We people like to fly or drive. We have many cars. The bottom line is, why do we waste our time on trains while we can travel by air? And train tickets cost more. Try me again.

@ignatiusryd2031 I'm talking about my city, not Jakarta. And building the HSR hub in the city center isn't viable at all. Hong Kong has learnt the mistake by building the most expensive section of HSr to the city through an underground tunnel. Unless the size of the hub is like an ordinary metro station, it will waste a lot of money and land on the project. I don't think there is land available in the city center of Jakarta.

@robotsubasa Read my post, I congrats you on having HSR, but not every country needs one. If you think HSR will improve the environment, we have conventional trains running between our cities too.

@Freshmansyou Hsr ticket less than airfare? It won't happen here. We have conventional trains running from Sydney to Melbourne, ticket price for economy class is A$80, youโre lucky to get the price of $160 if itโs is running in high speed rail. While the average air ticket price is around $100 to $200.

Please don't build the white elephant in my country.
