@chriscarrol9373 I did not say Romans invented the word, in fact, "Pale" in Greek means to "Wrestle", just as Israel means "to Wrestle". Herodotus called the region the Place of Wrestling". However, check your history, the region came under Roman rule and they not only changed the name of the region, but also the name of Jerusalem. The Ottoman continued to use the name until they lost to the Allied Powers in WW1 and they also kept the name. Palestine was never an Arab held State.
