Los Angeles County just captured over 50 billion gallons of runoff from recent storms, enough for more than 2 million people over the next year. The "Water Wars" in the Western United States has been going on for more than 120 years, not new.

No question it brought its own problems, and best intentions even hurt, like irrigation pumps in India brought up water filled with naturally occurring arsenic, but lifespan in India since 1947 has doubled.

  10. issue on reservations is more political than driven by resources, the Grand Canyon National Park has plenty of water and resources, but just outside the park, things are tough on the reservations in AZ, UT, and NM.
