With due respect! Yet another academic answering questions with vague possibilities (possibilities most of us already know). This is the problem with academia and politicians. Academics today will not come out on a limb to make decisive action plans. And politician responsible for such action plans, cannot act as they lack the technical skills/know how to make sense to create policies that the public can easily understand. Its really not difficult, but you need to have the right mindset in order to see the forest from the trees. Which our G is failing to do time and again? Most of our ministers are reacting like a deer in headlights, now completely frozen in the reaction to the current spike. Namely MoH and MoT this problem esp MoT is out of their league. Replace Iswaran now (he is just all talk, no hint of any way forward to make Public Transport even more Covid safe), he botched the LTA super spreader event and now he has little to no response to reduce the spread within the most volatile system for Covid spread ie our public transport (ie MRT/Buses). Completely, business as usual ie no Farking clue to reduce spread. We got a TT system, which is now a bloody white elephant, only good for 4 c0ck ring monitoring, and actually can't handle dynamic targeting of +ve cases. It seems to need some semi manual intervention, to authorise +ve cases and ping from there ... IMHO completely useless when you have now 1000s of cases floating around Singapore. Our TT seem to now be not fit for purpose in endemic mode. Our top end AI programmers possibly lack direction to improve the TT systems (probably need some FT from CECA, because our Singapore grads are only trained to do pass year papers and not "educated" to resolve real life dynamic issues). Of course these statements are just for "Lin Pei" general discussion.
