  1. Honestly this is a no brainer when you understand how capital works. If farming indoors in controlled conditions is so much better, it would of over taken farming generations ago even before this more advanced tech was available. Issue is, food needs to be cheap/affordable. So the simplest and easiest road to achieve that is literally letting mother nature do most of the work.
