He cites this book a lot, coincidentally.

This is sadly the most popular misconception about the Nazis. To a point that I literally have to explain to people that a POLITICAL PARTY is not PRIVATE. Even if headed by a Dictator calling a Political Party Private is dubious at best. I then have to list out all the organizations/surrogates the Nazi Party created to replace the Functions of the German State, basically sidelining the old German State with the New Nazi Party (ie State).

First part sounds better when it says "so in Socialism the State Owns you and you're basically a slave." Also if you think Communism is where everyone owns everything, I dare you to walk into the Kremlin in 1925 and sit at Lenin's chair.. As TIK says don't look at what they "Say" look at what they "Do." Communist have a long history of reintroducing feudalism with the Party Officials replacing the Ruling Class while enslaving the people.

@oscartang4587u3 Can say the same about China. CCP is a Communist Party yet seeking foreign capital investment, loosened economic restrictions to boost economic output of course with the CCP with it's grubby fingers in everything. Some Socialist call this Market Socialism, but when the Nazis do it it's State Capitalism. I've honestly seen people arguing whether the CCP are State Capitalist or Market Socialist, but the fact they have that argument kind of hints at them being synonyms rather than different systems. Meaning TIK is right when State Capitalism is just another alternative phrase for "Socialism." But is used to explain Socialism that "Some" socialist do not like.

@TheImperatorKnight They do it to justify nationalization. For example providing proof the Nazis dismantled the old Weimar Republic/Imperial Welfare State as proof they were against "Welfare." But then ignore that while they were doing this it's functions were replaced by the National Socialist People's Welfare Organization, which powers expanded considerably at the same time the Weimar's Welfare system was dismantled. As I said in my first comment created surrogates to replace the function of the State. But people ignore the surrogates, and only see the dismantling of the Old State, and pretend the New State didn't exist.

I don't because there are other groups that can be defined as National Socialist who are not "Nazis." Czech National Socialist which ran Czechoslovakia at the time for example.
