Gramsci should be brought up eventually. He's lets say absolutely bonkers. But is so important in modern socialist circles. He's primarily why you see so many Groups trying to create an identity out of thin air, and why terms like hegemony is often thrown around.

@TheGoodKid808 I would beg the differ. I know many 'false' quotes are attributed to Gramsci but he was in prison when he did much of his writings on why Communism failed against Fascism, and why people flocked toward the Fascist, why the Working Class abandoned the revolution. He pointed out the reasons, and hinted at the solutions without directly saying it because he of course had to self censor himself while he was in prison. He eventually died while in custody of the Italian Fascist Party. Everything he wrote during those times had to be done so with nuance. He pointed out the problems, but wasn't allowed during that time to directly speak out the solutions. But the way he presented those problems the alternative was making a 'counter' a new hegemony. A new Society along side the current which can grow and surpass. This however requires brainwashing the youth, educating them to think the way a proper Socialist or Communist should think. It's a CULT in how it would function regardless what he said in the past.

Because it's a Cult. It is kind of the point. Marx lets say could be described as the original Anti-Social Mom's basement boy. Based on letters written by his father, he was quite disappointed in Marx. Based on what I can find about Marx and how he lived his life, it's actually quite disturbing. If Marx was alive today he'd have a conspiracy theory blog page, and spend much of his time on Twitter. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a common trait really among Dialectics. Basically they literally do create their own reality in their heads, and perhaps as a result they perceive reality itself as a man made illusion. It's just about the only reasonable way of explaining it. Which again, is not too dissimilar to conspiracy theorist.

Ya that one digs pretty deep actually. You see it with the Trans Gender Community today. It's gone so bonkers that even Gay people are pointing out that Trans people speak almost a completely different language, where concepts of specific words do not mean the same as everyone else including how homosexuals view said words. Like how Man/Women are pretty much meaningless words in the Trans Community. But by doing so they also make the concept of being LGB for example irrelevant as it's the entire identity of LGB is well man loves man, women loves women person loves both. If man/woman do not mean man/woman no more Trans people make the very concept of being gay well obsolete. It's gotten so bad that Trans people are now persecuting homosexuals for well not wanting to date a trans person. So a Lesbian getting kicked out of a Lesbian social group for well not wanting to date a man who calls himself a women. Basically, ya the TQ+ part of the LGBTQ+ is literally a religion, and many within the LGB part of that community are waking up to it now and starting to stand up to the nonsense. It's a cult, which is why they're targeting the young in recent years. Why it has it's own language, own definitions of words, and confuses literally everyone who has to deal with it. I still get dumbfounded when people use the word "they" in a neutral sense when clearly referring to a man or women. Again speaking a different language.

@legendarymarston9174 Gramsci believed the reason the Working Class rarely sided with the Revolution in his day Italian laborers sided with the Fascist on mass for example, was because they were raised in a bourgeois society. That they'd have to create generations raised in a NEW society to check and overcome the bourgeoisie because without doing so the Marxist will never gain popular support. Basically he's the reason Marxist went pseudo underground and actively brainwash the youth in the modern mis-educational system. Want to know why Activist target the young rather than the adults? Blame Gramsci. He came to the realization that they would always fail unless they raise the youth to be anti-captialist.
