  1. This sense of favoritism, and in fight is really depressing. Halder trying to sabotage Rommel in North Africa in the Crusader series, and the possibility that he also did the same to Paulus with the 6th Army. If so this in fighting crippled some campaigns.

  2.  @caryblack5985  I didn't say he did, I said it's possible. 6th Army was starving of manpower and resources. We also know post war Halder literally ripped Paulus a new hole, blaming him for almost everything along side Hitler for the failures of Stalingrad. I'm pretty sure there was very likely some bad blood between the two.

  3. BTW Paulus' testimony in the Nuremberg trials against his peers likely also helped make him a target by Halder post war. Either way, Halder seemed to have some personal hatred for Paulus, whether it happened pre-Stalingrad or post War is up for debate. Either way, the version of history where Paulus is a bad General is literally pro Nazi propaganda.
