4:23 sadly reminds me of the Sinking of MV Sewol disaster back in 2014. The South Korean government was trying to lie to it's citizens directly in their faces, but the South Korean government hadn't caught up to modern technology, how fast information travels because of cellphones and the internet/social media. Every attempt to lie was shown in the face of the public as a lie, because people were seeing in real time what was actually happening with the disaster. The State didn't even realize what was happening until it was too late, they literally believed they had everything under control, and could deliberately lie to people's faces. Parents were on the phone with their kids, who were trapped in a sinking ferry telling them things different than what the "State" was telling them. The level of corruption, the level of the lies. It was made bare to the public. It lead in South Korea to what can be called a Social Revolution, politicians in the next few years were forced to retire, or deposed, people well died/offed themselves supposedly. A number of suits went to prison. Hundreds had died in real time, and the State only cared bout the image of them trying to help, but not actually helping, as people were dying. To be blunt cellphones have been a huge game changer, and people should resist all efforts by governments from getting their fingers on social media and mobile devices.
