@DY-cq3qd You are sure your reason for leaving wasn't immigration? What socialism in the UK? The tories have been in power in the UK for 14 years! Did you not pay attention to tory corruption during covid? Billions and billions into the pockets of tory mates. Your voting leave, by the way, has totally disenfranchised me. As a British citizen living in France I have no vote in France, as a Briton not resident in the UK I have no vote in the UK. That, among many many other things, which I could explain to you, has made my life worse and is your responsibility.

@jrobs1133 It was a good decision - the fact that I am still alive and not blind is thanks to the superb French health system. The basic state pension here in France, which is important to me , is twice that of the one in UK. Electricity is very much cheaper and the French government provides people with cheques to help pay the bills; The French government has a savings plan ( max 20 000) which pays 6% interest, public transport is good, and the town and city centres ( where I live ) are green pleasant and lively with plenty of shops cafés restaurants and bars which seems not to be the case in the UK. Because my revenue is small the French Gov't does not tax me, in fact it pays me some money every year. University education is free for students... I can get a GP appointment fairly rapidly ( immediately if urgent) and the same for my dentist .......... I could go on. I just wanted to point out that because of the Brexit vote I can no longer vote anywhere.

@jrobs1133 My word... you really don't take responsibility for your actions do you? I am glad I don't live anywhere near you. 😞

@DY-cq3qd I didn't use the word racist. You imagined it. I wonder why.

@incurableromantic4006 All residents in France are treated the same. I worked and paid taxes and the equivalent of national insurance in France for many years until I retired on a French pension for which I had contributed correctly. France has been managed differently from the UK, that's all. Rents are much lower in France too, did I mention that? And tenants, like me, are protected. I think you are jealous. There's no need to insult me with untruths, you know.

@johnrubber1144 I'm wondering which one it could be too. 'Land of Hope and Glory' maybe? 'Britain Awake'? Lyrics: 'We follow Fascism and Mosely' ?
