@ruthingle1487 It's worth noting that you don't vote for the PM in this country, you vote for your MP and it is they who vote in the party leadership, thus picking the PM. So while it seems iffy, the Tories aren't exactly flouting the rules with all this leader-switching. It does, however, highlight their incompetence and that, taken in hand with all their screw-ups, puts us in a real crisis of leadership. So yes, general election would be good.

@ruthingle1487 I don't know of any time in recent history where its been this chaotic and shambolic. That's why I agree a general election is needed. Not because Sunak is "unelected", though I also agree that the reality of our political system is that many people are voting based on the personality they want in No10. No, we need to argue for a GE in the grounds that Tories have proven incompetent and rudderless at a time of great crisis, which we can ill afford.
