@Nickle314 Improved healthcare doesn't mean that people in general just stay healthier. People still develop various ailments and injuries that come with age in their 50s, sometimes even earlier. So it's incorrect to simply presume that people in their 60s no longer need healthcare.

@davefish8107 They'd kick up a fuss but in the end most would pay up. Because that'd still be their best option, as opposed to losing access to a marketplace. Look at it like this, you could either pay a larger percentage of an income source back into the system or you could not get that income source entirely. You're a smart businessperson. What do you do?

This is very short-sighted. As more people die, our workforce shrinks, productivity drops, economy suffers and everyone gets poorer. This pushes more people into the "have no money and die" camp, and the cycle continues, getting worse and worse as it does so.
