@alexharrison9340 I would, because none of that would change the fact that ouija boards are bullshit. Also wouldn't change the fact that I'm firmly against Charles and the whole monarchy. But don't let facts get in the way of this little fictional universe you're living in...

@mrboyban If Joe is a taxpaying Brit then it is very much his business. It's all of our business.

@alexharrison9340 No, you didn't.

@alexharrison9340 Ouija boards were created as a fun game, a curiosity, for those who find the supernatural entertaining. The idea that there is anything authentic about them is purely a shared delusion. So no. You didn't.

@nellnorwood1156 The fact that Trump wasn't invited and others were gives credit to JR'S suggestion and blows a hole in your own.

Charles I was no angel either. The history isn't so simple as good guys and bad guys.

Get off the train, Christine, you're holding us back.

You know she's dead, right?

You're never gonna bring communities together over the monarchy. You may be ambivalent towards them but many, so many of us, are not.
1
Are you people joking? Charles isn't going to run the country. None of them are, none of them have any idea how to. They're just expensive figureheads that we should be well shot of.
1
@richardj9016 Given that presidents are elected and can be removed, that would be an improvement over a monarchy, yes.
1
@richardj9016 If they stay out of politics and don't make decisions, then why do we need them? What difference do they make in regards to who calls the shot and what title they hold?
1
@richardj9016 Yeah, that's the GCSE history answer. But what about the reality? When MPs were stealing taxpayer money during the expenses scandal, was that not out of line? When MPs have broken the rules they themselves set and enforced upon us, was that not out of line? When MPs are found to have colluded with foreign agents and compromised our ability to act on the global stage, that's all fine? Fact is, the monarchy is a redundant waste of space. None of the royals will act on these things because that would rock the boat and they quite like the wealth and privilege granted them by the status quo. A status quo established off the pain, suffering and exploitation of numerous countries around the world. Their realistic power is absolutely nil, they've never used their influence for championing positive causes and they've got enough skeletons in their closet to turn Buckingham Palace into a castle of bones. Now is the time to discuss abolishing the monarchy.
1
I'm no fan of monarchs but you're definitely well into tin-foil hat territory.

@manmaje3596 Just 'cos you have nothing to say, doesn't mean you should try and so casually dismiss someone who does.
