@enochpowell27 I asked how many claims were actually processed. It's a very different number than what you're suggesting. And undocumented people can't claim any benefits or put themselves on housing lists.

@random6809 No, it's a catch 22. You're not gonna get a job somewhere far away if you can't show you're living there. And you can't afford to live there if you can't get a job.

@random6809 No, you're missing the point. If she can't afford to live where she is now, that means she doesn't have savings. No disposable income to pay for travelling out of London for job interviews and apartment viewings, certainly no money for the deposit and the various associated fees, no money for transporting her belongings... You speak like someone who's never had to do anything like this.

@lee9650 Under any governance, its totally unrealistic. You'd need to have an enormous surplus of homes, it's totally inefficient.
