As a 40 year old Sikh, born in Calgary, Alberta, back in the 70's, I would have laughed in your face if you told me that a bearded, turban wearing Sikh would be the leader of one of our major parties. Now Mr. Singh is part of a proud NDP tradition. He's a leader in the same grand legacy as Douglas, Broadbent and Layton. 😊🇨🇦

  2. You're definitely right  @john.premose ; however I think he was just outlining his own personal experience. Giving a anecdotal example. Theres a big difference between saying "all Sikhs" vs. saying "all the Sikhs I know". Sikhs being compassionate and helpful are not known, established stereotypes. .... but yes, nobody from any group are all good or all bad.... but you're allowed to enjoy your own experiences with them. 🤷🏾‍♂️ #justsaying
