@DanielJW247 Very true. You can't generalize at State level. When I realized I could have a better life in CO than WY, I started planning my departure from WY. Not moving to CO though, but at least I know that low taxes do not equal cheaper life.

@DanielJW247 Yes.....me. I lived in Cheyenne for 6 years until a month ago. Last year during the shutdown, I ran the numbers on my anual expenses in WY. Compared them to 1 year of expenses if we had a house in Loveland Colorado , including property taxes, sales tax, etc. CO was cheaper for the year by $6,000. Not really a big difference in the amount....only averages to $500 more a month......but definitely surprised me. Not a bank breaking result. I was expecting WY to be way cheaper. But I'm sure the numbers would be different if different areas are used. I used Cheyenne and Loveland because I lived in one and had all the data, and Loveland because it would be an area I would live in.
