  1. I moved to Solano County in California 2 months ago. I couldn't believe the amount of retirees living here. I was expecting zero, but the amount I see is almost comparable to San Antonio TX, when I lived there. But the weather here is awesome....so I'm guessing it is worth the extra costs.

  2. That the poorest states in the country are mostly deep red. Not everything has to be tribalism. The Dems of the upper Northeast are as conservative as the republicans from Alaska. Our country is way too large and diverse to be caged into 2 groups. Yet somehow, the uniparty has managed to do just that.

  4. 100% agree. NYC skews every NY stat heavily. NY statistics need to be separated. Any stat in NYC has no relation to any other place in the entire State. I'm from Manhattan, and have also lived in Highland Falls, Watertown, Newburgh. Those places were a completely different world from NYC.

  5.  @IIII......  The free market makes it more expensive. The "don't bring your politics" trope is so tiring. When people move.....political affiliation is probably a non factor.

  7.  @cd00d52  Yes....you are absolutely correct..... my 1st sentence was intentionally written to show how stupid it is. Just like when people write "don't bring your politics with you" The tribalism that the uniparty created is what keeps the country from improving life conditions for ALL.

  8.  @IIII......  Nope. When a person moves to another state.....it is not because the political party x won. I lived in WY, 6 years probably the most conservative state in the nation. Life is like the 1950s there. Low taxes, no income tax, heck even wearing a seatbellt wasn't the law until last year. But people living there are completely unaware that WY is bailed by states like CA and NY year after year. WY receives from the Treasury way more than what they contribute. So basically, the way of life in WY is subsidized by the states they love to demonize. I lived in TX 8 years...and yes...TX does many things right, and have plenty of resources to maintain its powerhouse status.

Something that is inevitable when the uniparty boxes the 3rd largest country in the world into just 2 groups. Slightly better than China....that boxes the entire country into 1 group.

  14. CA just ended the fiscal year with a $19B surplus. That benefits all the poor republican states that get more from the Treasury that what they pay into. NY and CA always pay more into the Treasury than what they get.
