I moved from Vacaville CA to FL Panhandle in 2022 and the cost of living stayed the same. Very bad for Floridians since the state is at the bottom of the list in the country in wages.

@shawnd567 Facts. FL is at the bottom 10 in low wages, and now top 10 in high cost of living. When I moved from CA the only thing cheaper was gas, by 2 dollars. But I had to drive way more in the FL Panhandle, so I spent $120 a week on gas in FL vs $100 in CA. My pay went down $14k a year for the exact same position, same company I worked for in CA.

@sitdowndogbreath 2A is untouchable nationwide. It will never change, and this is very basic to know if anyone has elementary school knowledge of what it takes to add/eliminate a Constitutional Amendment. 2A is a non-issue, but somehow people think it is. Super weird. Did 20 years in the military and my wife did 22 years. We lived in 8 different states, never had any issues with 2A anywhere.

@naturelover2292 Northeasterners developed FL when Spain ceded it to the USA. I have plenty of Family in FL. I just stated US Census facts about wages and cost of living. Plus personal recent experiences.

I left FL in Aug 2023 after being there for 18 months. I couldn’t adjust to the redneck culture of the Panhandle. Now happily living in Western Tokyo Japan

@bwebbs28 Gas is cheaper in FL, but I used 40 gallons a week, compared to 20 in CA only because everything is super far. Lived in the FL Panhandle. Lived in Vacaville CA. Cost of items in the supermarket are the same as in CA. Cost of food in restaurants the same as in CA. Cost of store items, clothes , shoes, etc, same as CA. Houses are cheaper in FL. That’s about it. Mine is listed at $439k, 5br/3bath, built 2022.
